Do you remember
having an imaginary friend when you were a child? This may have been your first
experience of a spirit guide.
Often children will see imaginary friends when they are
lonely or sad. A Spirit Guide comes to remind them that they are not alone. It
is when we are in times of need that we will break through the feeling of
separation. Just think for a moment about how often ‘other-worldly’ beings
appear in our spiritual traditions, and many cultures invoke the guidance and
protection of their ancestors, or animal spirits. All these experiences tell us
there is a greater oneness to which we belong.
How to connect with your Spirit Guide
1. Form Your Intention
To help you connect with your own spirit
guide, try this introductory meditation. Firstly, name your conscious intention
out aloud....."My intention is to connect with the spirit of harmony."
2. Relax Down
Sit comfortably in a straight backed chair. Close your eyes,
and take your awareness to your breathing. Be aware of your belly rising and
falling. Slowly breathe in and out....in and out.... let all stress and tension
fall away. Take a few moments just to focus on your breath....in and out.... Push
your heels firmly into the earth to ground your intuitions.
Journey to meet your spirit
guide
- Visualise
yourself walking up to a door and opening the door.
- As
you open the door you move into a room filled with light.
- As
you walk through the light you feel it on your face, flowing around your
body, warming you, uplifting you.
- Walk
through the light until it starts to clear and you come out at a pathway.
- Follow
the pathway as it twists and turns.
- See
wildflowers and trees around you.
- Hear
a bubbling brook off into the distance.
- You
continue walking until you come to a great, big, beautiful old tree.
- Look
at the tree, say hello to it.
- Go
and sit underneath the tree and relax.
- As
you relax, invite a spirit guide to join you.
- Focus
in your mind's eye on sensing the spirit guide, sensing its presence.
- What
does it feel like?
- Does
it feel male or female?
- Is
it old or young?
- Do
you know this person well or not at all?
- How
do you feel about the spirit guide?
- Does
the spirit guide have a name?
- Ask
the spirit guide if it has any message for you?
Say goodbye to the spirit guide and say goodbye to the tree.
Walk back down the path. Walk back through the door and into your chair. Take a
deep breath and relax. You can meet with your spirit guides at any time that
you need them.....

I need another spiritual soul living on this planet in helping further explore the realms of spiritualiy and life after death.
I live in St. Helena, Ca(in the Napa valley).
I gets lonely listening to other's about thier "woe's". I need more intellectual stimualtion with those of like minds as mine in furthering my discovery about "the other side." Any suggestions?
